ROLLA HENRY CHUBB DIES
Rolla Henry Chubb was born on Nov. 7, 1850 in Ashland, Ohio, and married Miss Emma Francis De Verna on Aug. 3rd, 1874 at Perrysburg, Ohio, where thy lived until 1900 when they moved west in search of a home where the children could be with them. They settled at Trout Lake on a homestead. He is survived by his wife, Emma Francis, of Trout Lake, two daughters, Mrs. Olive Swigart of Molalla, Ore., and Mrs. Lillian Rutger of Cleveland, Ohio; three sons -- Roy G. Chubb of Canby, Ore.; Ray H. of Trout Lake, and De Verna W. of Yakima. He also leaves a brother Robert of Spokane, a brother Sam of New York; two sisters, Miss Rollo and Miss May Chubb of Delaware, Ohio. Twenty four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren are living. He died on February 8 at 9:40 from a paralytic stoke and the funeral services were conducted by Rev. E.A. Reed at the Trout Lake Cemetery, Feb. 11th at 2 pm.
