"Local Happenings"
The death of Mrs. Rosa Eshelman, wife of L.J. Eshelman, occurred at their home in Centerville on Monday. The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Centerville Christian church. She was 53 years old, coming here in 1878 from Oregon, being one of the pioneers. Six children were born to the couple, three living at present; S.C. Eshelman, Centerville; Mrs. L.H Dooley, Goldendale, and Mrs. E.E. Kelley, Roosevelt. Her mother, Mrs. Henrietta Tobin of The Dalles; brothers, Thomas Tobin, R.S. Tobin, Enterprise, Ore.; Jas. Tobin, Canada; John Tobin, Yakima, and Ed Tobin, Idaho; and her sister, Mrs. M.M. Hoctor, survive her. Death was due to heart trouble. An obituary will be furnished later.

The community was shocked Monday morning when the report came of the sudden death of Mrs. Rose Eshelman, who died Sunday night at 10 o'clock.
