ROLLIN RIDEOUT
Rollin Rideout died on April 28, 2001, at the Oregon
VA Retirement Home in The Dalles, Ore., at the age of 77.
Mr. Rideout was born on March 19, 1924, in Clearwater,
Idaho, to Charles and Mary (Clark) Rideout. He lived in Lyle for a great
part of his life and worked for the Klickitat County Road Department, from
which he retired.
Mr. Rideout enjoyed all outdoor activities and was an
avid trout fisherman. He died on opening day of trout season.
Mr. Rideout is survived by step-children Lester Thomas,
Lee Thomas, Clauda Deangelo, Larry Thomas, Bryan Thomas, Julie Halstead and
Floyd Grubbs: children Betty Jolley and Mona Miller: a big bunch of grandchildren
and even bigger bunch of great-grandchildren.
Graveside services for Mr. Rideout will be held on Friday,
May 4, 2001, at 1 p.m. at the Lyle Balch cemetery in Lyle, with a potluck
to follow at 850 SW Winebarger Road in Pucker Huddle. All are welcome. Any

Memorials may be made in Mr. Rideout's name to the Oregon
VA Retirement Home in care of Gardner Funeral Home, who was in charge of
arrangements.
