SERVICE STATION PIONEER CALLED
Funeral services for Robert Scott (Bud) Hoisington, 72,
one of the first service station builders in both Bingen and White Salmon
were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 2 at Gardner's Chapel, White Salmon.

Mr. Hoisington was born at Windsor, Vermont on April

White Salmon's first "filling station" by hand. The station is now operated
by Dan Hunsaker.

During very cold weather he watched for customers from his hotel window.
When a car drove into the station, Bud rushed over to service it.
Prior to his retirement several years ago, Bud built
and acquired service stations and other rental properties in both White Salmon

He established himself as a man of integrity in all his
dealings. To his family he was a devoted husband and father.
