ROSCOE JENNINGS
Roscoe Spencer Jennings, Bingen, died Jan. 1, 1996, at
Skyline Hospital in White Salmon, at the age of 79.
Mr. Jennings was born Dec. 17, 1916, in Addy, to Neva
(Spencer) and Creed Jennings. He moved to eastern Washington and grew up
there. He moved to Tacoma in 1939, where he went to work as a welder in the
shipyards. It was a profession he held for 30 years.
He married Mildred E. Miller in 1942. They moved to a
ranch in eastern Washington in 1968, where they lived for a couple of years.
They then moved to Goldendale for one and a half years. The couple moved
to BZ Corners when he went to work for the Forest Service. He retired in
1980 and the couple moved to Bingen about one year ago. He loved to garden
and spent a lot of time at it.
Mr. Jennings is survived by his wife, Mildred, Bingen;
sister, Jan Lerew, Kalispell, Mont. He was preceded in death by two sons,
Marvin and Michael, and his brother, Donald E. Jennings.
No public service was held for Mr. Jennings. Interment
was at Mt. View Cemetery in Tacoma.
Memorials may be given to the Skyline Foundation in care
of Gardner Funeral Home, who was in charge of the arrangements.
