ROLASTON WARD
Rolaston Smith Ward was born September 7, 1908 at Bickleton
the son of Florence and Stephen Ward. He was united in marriage to Lucille
Akerill at Glenwood in 1946 after serving over three years in the Signal
Corps during World War II. Mrs. Ward passed away in 1964.
Mr. Ward had lived in Klickitat county all his life and
for many years had been employed by the St. Regis Paper Co. The last four
years he lived in Goldendale, where he died March 2, 1971 at the age of 62.
Surviving are: a son, Ronald of Longview; two daughters,
Vivian Thompson of Wichita Falls, Tx. and Florence McHomey of Cathlamet;
four brothers, Steven of Grandview, Elvan of Bickleton, DeRowland of Glenwood
and Raymond of Portland; three sisters, Edith Buchanan of Boise, Id., Rachael
Babcock of Portland and Minnie Allen of Grandview and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held March 6, 1:30 at Pioneer Memorial
Church at Glenwood with Rev. Darrel Hamil officiating. Interment was at Glenwood.

Rolaston S. Ward, former resident of Glenwood, Washington
who was living in Goldendale, passed away at his home on March 2nd.
Mr. Ward was born September 7th, 1908 at Bickleton,
Washington to Florence and Steven Ward. His wife, Lucille, passed away in
1964.
He leaves a son, Ronald Ward of Longview, Washington.
Two daughters: Vivian Thompson of Wichita Falls, Texas and Florence McHomey
of Cathlamet, Washington. Four brothers: Steven Ward of Grandview, Washington;
Elvan Ward of Bickleton, Washington; DeRoland Ward of Glenwood, Washington;
Raymond Ward of Portland, Oregon.
Three sisters: Edith Buchanan of Boise, Idaho; Rachael
Babcock of Portland, Oregon; Minnie Allen of Grandview, Washington. Five
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in Glenwood at the Glenwood
Pioneer Presbyterian Church on Saturday, March 6th at 1:30. Interment will
be at Mt. Adams Cemetery in Glenwood, Washington.
