PIONEER OF WHITE SALMON DIES HERE
On Sunday morning of last week, Rudolf Lauterbach, pioneer
resident of White Salmon, passed away at the local Community hospital, after
an illness lasting many months. The cause of death was heart trouble. Funeral
services were held in the Anderson chapel and a large number of White Salmon
residents were in attendance. The Rev. P. Hilgendorf officiated at the funeral
services.
Mr. Lauterbach was one of White Salmon's best known
residents. At one time he operated a store in White Salmon, but retired from
business several years ago. In a quiet way he had done much towards the
upbuilding of White Salmon.
Besides his widow, he is survived by three daughters,
Mrs. T. Wyers Jr., Miss Meta Lauterbach and Miss Louise Lauterbach, and four
sons, Johnnie, August, William and Henry.
