RUSSELL "BODGE" KREPS
Russell W. "Bodge" Kreps, Klickitat County Commission
chairman, died Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Vancouver at the age
of 44.
A lifelong resident of the White Salmon area, Mr. Kreps
also served on the board of directors for Klickitat Valley Bank and was a
past member of the White Salmon Valley School Board.
He was born April 20, 1935, in Hood River to Mr. and
Mrs. Russell R. Kreps. He worked as a logger and in construction.
Mt. Adams Elks Lodge members conducted funeral services
for Mr. Kreps at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Gardner Funeral Home. Interment was
at the White Salmon Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Kreps, White
Salmon; his mother, Marie Kreps, White Salmon; four children, Howard Kreps,
Tacoma, Glenda Donaldson, Portland, and Amy Kreps and Jodi Kreps, both of
White Salmon; one brother, Oliver T. Kreps, White Salmon; and three sisters,
Marguerite Kayser, Centerville, Jane Hecomovich, White Salmon, and Mary Lou
Shattuck, Toppenish.
Contributions in Mr. Kreps name may be made to the American
Cancer Society or to the Tall Elks.
