RAY RICHARDS
White Salmon resident Ray W. Richards died in Portland
Saturday. He was 70.
Mr. Richards was bon to Elsie (Barstow) and John Richards
in Toppenish on July 29, 1921. He spent his young years in Yakima Valley
and moved to Hood River in the early 1940s. He married Juanita Hunsucker
in 1944 and they moved to White Salmon in 1950.
For most of his life, he worked as a log truck driver
and retired for medical reasons. He loved to spend time with his family and
enjoyed camping.
He is survived by his wife Juanita of White Salmon; children,
Phyllis Alexander of Seattle, Nancy Lewin of Abilene, Tex., David Richards
of Seattle, Douglas Richards of Lyle, and Kenenth Richards of White Salmon;
brothers, Roy of Bingen and Evertt of Yakima; Warren of Yakima and Grant
of Spokane; nine grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at White Salmon Cemetery.
