SHIRLEY A. BOWERS

     Shirley Ann Bowers, 55, of Lyle passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 1994 after an extended illness.
     She was born on April 21, 1939 in New Rockford, N.D. to Carl and Mary Ellen Jung. She attended schools there and moved to Longview, Wash. in 1949, later moving to Goldendale, and most recently to Lyle.
     She was employed as a checker at Albertson's in The Dalles, Ore.
     She is survived by one son, John Bowers who is currently serving in the Armed Forces; her mother, Mary Ellen Jung of Goldendale; one sister, Mary Jung-Stenwall of Everett; and one brother, Bill of Longview.
     Shirley was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Goldendale.
     Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was said May 30 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas V. Lane as celebrant.
     Inurnment was in the Holy Trinity Cemetery in Goldendale.
