MRS. SAMANTHA A. McCUISTION
Mrs. Samantha McCuistion died in White Salmon January 8, 1939, after an illness of over six years. She was 88 years old. Mrs. McCuistion was born in Missouri, Dec. 19, 1850; on Sept. 19, 1869 she married David Hoyle McCuistion; they lived for a time in Missouri and Arkansas before moving to Hood River, where they had a berry farm. About thirty-two years ago they moved to Trout Lake and made their home; they had a family of nine children. Mr. McCuistion died in 1918. Besides her own family, Mrs. McCuistion also raised several of her grandchildren. Left to mourn her loss are three sons, three daughters, two half-brothers, three half-sisters; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

DEATH OF MRS. SAMANTHA MCQUISTION
Mrs. Samantha McQuistion died on January 8 at the home of a
granddaughter, Mrs. Grace Knight, of White Salmon. Mrs. McQuistion had been
a resident of Trout Lake since 1908, and was well known here. She was born
in Missouri December 19, 1850.
Funeral services were held in Trout Lake, January 11,
Rev. Mr. Goode officiating.
Surviving Mrs. McQuistion are three daughters, Mrs. Margaret
Robins, of Trout Lake, Mrs. Lula Aerni, of Albany, ore., Mrs. Tenny Sears,
of Tennessee, and three sons, George McQuistion of Lake Quinault, J.W. McQuistion
of Lake Quinault, J.W. McQuistion of Washougal, and David McQuistion of Hood
River, and also several grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

WHITE SALMON, Wash., Jan. 19 (Special) -- Funeral services
were held in Trout Lake on January 11 for Mrs. Samantha McQuistion, who died
January 8 at the home of a granddaughter, Mrs. Grace Knight of White Salmon.
Mrs. McQuistion was born in Missouri December 19, 1850,
and had been a resident of Trout Lake since 1908.
