RITES HELD FOR MRS. SAMPSON
Funeral services were held at Gardner's Funeral Home
at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, for Mrs. Charles N. (Sabra Hovey) Sampson, 59,
who died at her White Salmon home Wednesday, Oct. 28. The Rev. James Duffey
officiated. Interment was in the local IOOF cemetery.
Sabra Hovey was born at Laverne, Minn., Dec. 1, 1892.
On May 2, 1911, she was married to Charles N. Sampson who survives her. The
family moved to New Plymouth, Idaho, in 1934, and from there to White Salmon
in 1949 where they have since lived.
Five children also survive her: Alice Essex and Virgil
Sampson, both of W.S.; Agnes Tschirg of Fruitland, Idaho; Margene Peterson
of New Plymouth; and James Sampson, USN, Corpus Christi, Texas; and
10-grandchildren.
Mrs. Sampson was a member of the New Plymouth Baptist
church and the Women's Guild of the Congregational church.
