MRS. WILLIAM STEGMAN
Mrs. William Stegman, of eastern Klickitat, died at
Goldendale on January 16th, of heart failure. She was born January 29th,
1874, in Minnesota; and came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Tobin, to
Oregon in 1875, coming to Klickitat county in 1876 and locating and the
Centerville section. Miss Tobin was united in marriage to William Stegman,
a well-known and highly respected pioneer of the east end, on June 15th,
1892. To this union nine children were born, six of whom survive: the order,
John, William, Frederick, Alice and Anna. Her husband, mother, two sisters,
and seven brothers, mourn her death.
The deceased was a woman of the very pleasant, social,
and generous disposition, -- and many homes can testify to her acts of thoughtful
kindness.
The funeral services were held on Saturday, January 18th,
with interment in the Centerville Catholic cemetery, near Goldendale.
