STELLA M. BABCOCK

     Stella M. Babcock passed away at Skyline Hospital in White Salmon September 11, 1970 after a long illness. Stella Maud was born in Goldendale February 25, 1887, the fifth daughter of Mary and Joseph Parrott. On November 22, 1908 she was married to Clarence M. Babcock who preceded her in death June 4, 1953.
     While residing in Glenwood three children were born to them: Homer of Glenwood, Marjorie Leone Holman of Underwood and Floyd Elwyn who passed away November 26, 1968 at Ashland, Or. Mrs. Babcock was a member of Camas Prairie Pioneer Association and a member of White Salmon Chapter 107 Order of Eastern Star. She has made her home in White Salmon since 1953.
     In March of this year she was baptized by Pastor Eugene V. Haynes of the Congregational Church.
     Surviving her, besides her son and daughter are three brothers, Robert I. Parrott of North Bonneville, Heston H. Parrott of Tigard, Or., and Orvin L. Parrott of Portland; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
     Funeral services were held at Gardner's Funeral Home, White Salmon, Tuesday, September 15 at 1 p.m. with interment in Mt. Adams Cemetery, Glenwood.

SERVICE TUESDAY FOR PIONEER OF GLENWOOD

     Stella M. Babcock passed away at Skyline Hospital in White Salmon, Washington September 11, 1970, after a long illness. Stella Maud was born in Goldendale, Washington Feb. 25, 1887, the 5th daughter of Mary and Joseph Parrott.
     On November 22, 1908 in Portland, Oregon, she was united in marriage to Clarence M. Babcock, who preceded her in death June 4th, 1953. While residing in Glenwood three children were born to them: Homer of Glenwood, Marjorie Leona Holman of Underwood, Washington, and Floyd Elwyn Babcock who passed away Nov. 26th, 1968 at Ashland, Oregon.

     Funeral services for Mrs. Babcock will be held at Tuesday, September 15th, 1 p.m. at Gardner's Funeral Home in White Salmon with Rev. Eugene Haynes officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Adams Cemetery in Glenwood, Washington.
     It has been suggested that friends who wish may make a Memorial Contribution to the Cancer Society instead of sending flowers.
