HAYDEN
Sharon B. Hayden died Oct. 17 in Goldendale. She was
61.
She was born Feb. 5, 1927 in Dufur, Ore. to Lowery and
Vera Beeks.
She married Newton Cotton on Dec. 2, 1944. He preceded
her in death on March 28, 1958.
On Dec. 10, 1958 she and Robert Hayden were united in
marriage in Stevenson. The couple lived in Glenwood and LaCenter, later returning
to Goldendale.
Mrs. Hayden enjoyed huckleberry picking, rock hunting,
gardening and animals. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband Robert Hayden of Goldendale;
three sons, Steven Cotton of Oregon City, Ore., Dwight Cotton and Bobby Hayden,
both of Goldendale; two daughters; Thelma Cooney of Klickitat and Sharon
Miller of Rathdrum, Idaho; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Other survivors are: brothers, Calvin Beeks and Malcolm Beeks, both of
Goldendale, Philip Beeks of Trout Lake, and James Beeks of Woodburn, Ore.;
and a sister, Vera Cotton of Woodburn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Lucille
Short and Claudine Beeks, brother Vernon Beeks and grandson Travis Thatcher.
Funeral services were held Oct. 21 in the chapel of
Knosher-Erdman Funeral Home. Pastor Ralph Duddles of Klickitat officiated.
Interment was in the family plot of the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Active
pallbearers included Steve Cotton, Dwight Cotton, Lowery Short, Marshall
Short, Kevin Johnson and Duane Miller. Honorary pallbearers were Marvin Cooney,
Chris Miller, Mike Miller, Joesph Miller, Robert Fiocchi and Ronald Cotton.
