SADIE BENNETT
Sadie Elida Burrill was born at Shelby, Nebr., on November 12,
1880, and died at Goldendale September 20 at the age of 85 years, 10 months
and eight days.
She was united in marriage to Charles Gilbert Bennett
in 1900 and to this union six children were born, four girls and two boys.
Two of the daughters, Opal and Hazel, and the two sons, Burrill and Charles,
preceded her in death.
In 1905 the Bennetts moved to Lyle where they lived until
the death of Mr. Bennett in 1934. Mrs. Bennett then moved to the Goldendale
area where she lived the rest of her life. She was baptized into the First
Baptist Church of Goldendale on May 28, 1936, and remained a very faithful
member until she became to ill to attend.
She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Barrigar of
Silver Lake, Ore., and Ora Atkins of Sweet Home, Ore.; two brothers, Clyde
Burrill, San Jose, Calif., and Ernest Burrill of Yakima; 11 grandchildren,
22 great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
