SYLVIA FAYE DAVENPORT
Mrs. Sylvia Faye Davenport, 74, widow of Paul Davenport,
died July 20 at Goldendale.
Mrs. Davenport was born Aug. 5, 1905 at Centerville,
a daughter of Charles and Annie Yeackel. She married Paul Davenport in 1923
and they lived in Yakima until 1936 when they moved to Goldendale. Mr. Davenport
died last year.
She was a charter member of the Klickitat County Cow
Belles, a member of the Catholic Church, Neighbors of Woodcraft and Thimble
Club.
Surviving are a son, Dr. Jack Davenport, and a daughter,
Mrs. Art Schuster, both of Goldendale; eight grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ina Kayser, Centerville; and a cousin,
Frances Belaire of Moxee City, who was raised in the Yeackel home.
Funeral Mass was celebrated July 23 at Holy Trinity Catholic
Church with Fr. John Marasciulo as celebrant. Burial was in Holy Trinity
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Craig and Brett Schuster, Paul Crites,
and Bruce, Dave and A.J. Davenport.
