SYLVESTER MAXWELL

     Sylvester H. Maxwell, of Trout Lake, died May 12 in Goldendale. He was 92.
     Mr. Maxwell was born Feb. 11, 1899 in Illinois to Mary and Charles Maxwell. He married Mary Ellington in Indiana in 1920 and moved west in 1921. He settled in Trout Lake during the early 1940's with his wife, who preceded in death in 1986.
     Mr. Maxwell was a member of the National Rifle Association and a World War I veteran. He is survived by his daughter, June Harris of Stevenson, Washington; brother, Raymond Maxwell of Illinois; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
     Graveside service was held at Trout Lake Cemetery.
