MRS. HUGHES PASSES

     Word has just been received of the death, Saturday, March 12, of Mrs. Katie Hughes, in Portland. Services in the Lyle Methodist Church were held Wednesday, March 16 and interment was in the Balch Cemetery. An obituary will follow.

MRS. HUGHES MEETS DEATH IN PORTLAND

     Word was received here Tuesday of the death of Mrs. Kate Campbell Hughes in Portland. Mrs. Hughes, longtime resident of this county, passed away Saturday, and services were scheduled at Lyle on Wednesday, march 12, with interment in the Balch cemetery.
