SHARON SPRING
Sharon Lee "Sherry" Spring, a Trout Lake resident, died
Feb. 20, 1996, in Hood River, Ore., at the age of 52.
Mrs. Spring was born Dec. 31, 1943, in White Salmon,
to Lorraine M. (Elmer) and Eugene W. Hill. She grew up in White Salmon, where
she attended school and earned her high school diploma. She worked as a
photographer for a time. She married Gary Mitchell and they had two daughters.
She later married Larry Spring about 10 years ago. They lived a short time
in Lewiston, Idaho, then moved back to Trout Lake five years ago.
Her greatest loves besides her family was camping at
Bird Creek and hiking in the Mt. Adams Wilderness. She loved to sew and garden.
She enjoyed backpacking, rock hunting, and mushrooming. She loved the outdoors
and was an expert horsewoman in her younger days. She was an involved mother
and grandmother.
Mrs. Spring is survived by her husband, Larry, Trout
Lake; parents Bugs and Rainy Hill, Trout Lake; daughters Lora Skerbitz and
Kim Schalk, both of White Salmon; step-daughters Teresa Spring, Portland,
Serena Spring, Vancouver, and Terena Spring, Portland; brother, Dennis Hill,
Kirkland; grandchildren, Eric, Sharlene, Amanda, Crystal, J.B. and Caleb;
and two nephews and one niece.
Services for Mrs. Spring were held Feb. 24, 1996, at
11 a.m. at Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon, with Rev. Joel Hibbs
officiating. Interment was at Trout Lake Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice of the Gorge in care
of Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon, who is in charge of the arrangements.
