STELLA M. MCNABB
Stella May McNabb of Lyle died Sunday in The Dalles.
She was 92.
Mrs. McNabb was born May 17, 1901 in Crosstown, Mo. to
Mary E. (Eruner) and Charles Course. She came to Goldendale at the age of
six months and started school at Balch School in Lyle and she graduated from
hugh school there. She worked in Vancouver during World War I as a dispatcher
for freight trains.
She moved back to Lyle where she married Loyd H. McNabb
in 1920. She opened a store in 1933 and gas station on the old highway west
of Lyle named the Evergreen Garage. Her husband preceded her in death in
1981. She enjoyed camping and being with people. She was a member of the
Lyle Women's Club for many years.
She is survived by her son, Charles "Dick" McNabb of
Lyle; granddaughter, Katherine Dotson of Ephrata, great grandchildren, Miraya
A. and Jacob Dotson, both of Ephrata.
Graveside services were held Tuesday at Lyle Balch Cemetery
in Lyle.
