SARAH M. VAN BIBER
A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Vancouver
Funeral Chapel for Sarah Marjorie Van Biber, who died at home Saturday, March
2. She was 71.
Mrs. Van Biber, a registered nurse who had worked at
Vancouver Memorial Hospital for 25 years, had served in the Army Nurse Corp
in World War II. She graduated from Good Samaritan School of Nursing in Portland.
Mrs. Van Biber was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church.
She was born Sept. 16, 1919, in Lebanon, Ore., and had
lived in Vancouver since 1948, most recently at 9211 N.W. 20th Ave.
Survivors include her widower, George, at home; five
daughters, Karen Eckis of Stayton, Ore., Gretchen Johnson of Vancouver, Susan
Yoder of Portland, Ines Bojlesen of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Preeda Saengsai
of Thailand; one sister, Mary Lant of Vancouver, and 13 grandchildren.
Burial will be in the Lyle Cemetery in Lyle, Wash.
Vancouver Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
