SAMUEL NELSON BEEKS
The death of Samuel Nelson Beeks occurred at his home
on Tuesday night at 11 o'clock, after an illness of several months. Deceased
was the oldest son of James H. and Mary E. Beeks of Goodnoe Hills, Washington.
He was born February 10, 1879 in Pleasant Valley, Klickitat county, Wash.,
and moved with his parents to Goodnoe Hills where he grew to manhood.
He united with the Church of Christ in October 1895 under
the preaching of Rev. E. Badger. In June, 1903, he was married to Miss Tina
Hamilton, to whom two sons were born. About three months ago he was taken
ill with pneumonia, enduring the long siege without a murmur, from which
grew complications which were the ultimate cause of his early demise. He
passed from this world rejoicing in the triumph of a living faith January
17, 1911, aged 31 years, 11 months and 7 days. He leaves a wife, two sons
and a large number of relatives and friends to mourn his untimely departure.
The funeral was held this afternoon at two o'clock from the Christian Church.
