SAM CARROL DIES SUDDENLY

     Sam C. Carroll, of this city, passed away Saturday night from pneumonia after an illness of only three days. Deceased was born in 1872 in Linn county, Ore., and spend most of his life near Mitchell, eastern Oregon, where he farmed until coming to White Salmon four years ago. He was married to Miss Annie Marvin in 1903. Besides his widow, he leaves three sons, Homer, Andrew and Wilbur, 3 brothers and one sister.
     The funeral services were held Tuesday at the Methodist church and the remains laid to rest in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
