STEPHEN SCOTT DUFFIELD
Stephen Scott Duffield, 44, of Klickitat, passed away
June 29, 1998.
He was born July 6, 1953 in The Dalles to Marshall S.
and Bettie I. (Briggs) Duffield. Stephen was raised in Klickitat, graduating
from Klickitat High School in 1972. He worked in area nursing homes and hospitals
as a nurse's aide, and then worked at Underwood Fruit and Warehouse for many
years until illness forced him to retire.
Stephen was baptized in the Mormon church. He loved to
draw and make signs, and was an accomplished artist, photographer, and flower
arranger.
Survivors include his parents, Marshall and Bettie Duffield,
of Klickitat; two brothers, Jim Duffield of Portland, Ore., and Jeff Duffield,
of Wasilla, Alaska; two sisters, Betty Jenner, of Stockton, Calif, and Marsha
Martell, of Klickitat; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held July 6, at the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter Day Saints in White Salmon, with Bishop Steinfeld officiating.
Arrangements are under the care of Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon.
Donations may be made to the Bruce Lorenz Scholarship Fund c/o Klickitat
High School.
