STEVE FORTNA IS VICTIM OF HEART ATTACK
Stephen R. Fortna, 55, for more than 30 years a resident
of Klickitat county, died at St. Elizabeth's hospital in Yakima Monday afternoon.
Fortna, who had been a patient in the Yakima hospital for the past ten days,
died from complications of a heart ailment.
Funeral services for Fortna, will be held from the Chapman
chapel Friday at 2 p.m. Rev. C.J. Hall, of the Methodist Episcopal church,
will conduct the service. Burial will be in the Spring Creek Cemetery.
Fortna is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Guy Cooper,
of Goldendale; Mrs. William Maxey and Mrs. John Breamer, both of Ellensburg;
and a number of nephews and nieces.
He was born in Colusa county, California, August 31,
1882. His parents John and Elizabeth Fortna moved to Klickitat County more
than 30 years ago.
