OLDEST TROUT LAKE PIONEER PASSES ON
Funeral of Mrs. C.A. Pearson will be held Sunday
Mrs. Susie Pearson, wife of C.A. Pearson, passed away
at the Pearson home in the Trout Lake valley on Thursday. The funeral will
be held at the home on Sunday at 1 p.m., and burial will be in the Trout
Lake cemetery.
Mrs. Pearson was 71 years of age. She was born in Berne,
Switzerland, and came to Glenwood, with her parents in 1878 and in 1880,
moved to Trout Lake. She was married to C.A. Pearson in 1884. She is survived
by her widower and five children -- Mrs. D.H. Allaway, Mrs. R.E. Woodruff,
Carl Pearson, Orin Pearson, and Geo. Pearson, all of Trout Lake valley.
Deceased was member of the Order of Eastern Star and
of the Grange. She was the oldest pioneer in the Trout Lake Valley and one
of the best known and loved woman of that district.

Funeral services were held December 16, at Trout Lake, for Mrs. Susie Pearson, who died on December 13. She was Trout Lake's oldest pioneer and one of the best known and loved women of that valley. She was born in Berne, Switzerland, in 1863, came to Glenwood in 1878, and to Trout Lake in 1880, where she was married to C.A. Pearson in 1884. Surviving are her widower, two daughters, Mrs. D.H. Allaway and Mrs. Ralph Woodruff, and three sons, Carl, Orin and George, all of Trout Lake.
