TAMARA A. MCNABB
A graveside remembrance for Tamara Anne McNabb, recently
of West Linn, Ore., was held Tuesday, May 3, at the Lyle-Balch Cemetery,
with Les Haarstad officiating. She was interred beside her son, Michael.
Tamara died of cancer at her mother's home in Troutdale,
Ore., on April 28. She was 48. Tamara was born in The Dalles, Ore., on Feb.
3, 1940, and lived in Goldendale and the Portland area until she moved to
Hawaii in 1949. There she graduated from Kailua High School and attended
the University of Hawaii.
She returned to Lyle in 1962, where she became Mr. Charles
(Dick) Mcnabb. She sang with the Cascade Singers in the Dalles, served on
the Lyle School Board and worked at the Lyle Post Office.
She moved to the Portland area in 1981 and worked at
the West Linn Post Office until her death. She is survived by her daughter,
Katherine Dotson of Ephrate, Wash; her mother, Dessie Rice of Troutdale;
a brother, Donald Hobbs of Los Angeles, and a multitude of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer
Society or a charity of choice.

who died of cancer April 28 in her mother's home in Troutdale, was Tuesday

Mrs. McNabb, who was 48, was born Feb. 3, 1940, in The
Dalles. She was a graduate of the University of Hawaii. She worked for the
U.S. Post Office in Lyle from 1962 until 1981, and for the past five years
had been employed in the U.S. Post Office in West Linn. Survivors include
her daughter, Katherine Dotson of Ephrata, Wash; her mother, Dessie Rice
of Troutdale; and a brother, Donald Hobbs of Los Angeles.
