THOS. B. BURKE
The funeral for the late Thomas B. Burkes was held in Lyle Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock P.M. with burial in the Lyle Cemetery. Deceased was 63 years of age, born in Holden, Missouri. He came out west about fifty years ago, and was married in Vancouver to Anne T. Kindlog, who survives him. They have resided here about seven years. Mr. Burkes was a shingler by trade, and followed that work for twenty-five years. After coming to White Salmon, he worked in the local shoeshop for several years. The past few months Mr. and Mrs. Burkes have been living in Bingen.

PNEUMONIA CALLS BINGEN RESIDENT
Resident of Bingen for Short Time Passes; Formerly Was Shoemaker
Thomas Bratton Burke, a resident of Bingen for the past
few months and formerly of White Salmon where he was employed as a shoe-maker,
passed away at Bingen, November 29, following a short illness of pneumonia
from which it was impossible for him to recover.
He was born October 2, 1872, at Holden, Missouri, and
passed away at the age of 63 years. His wife, Anna, and relatives living
at Lyle, were reported as the immediate survivors.
Services were held Sunday at the Methodist Church in
White Salmon, Rev. Stark, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment followed
in the cemetery located at Lyle.
