THOMAS J. BRASHERS
Thomas J. Brashers of Glenwood died Saturday, Oct. 8,
in a logging accident in rural Glenwood. He was 43.
He was born Aug. 26, 1945, to William H. and Dorothy
(Murphy) Brashers in The Dalles, Ore. He grew up in the High Prairie area
and attended schools in Lyle, graduating from high school in 1963. He attended
Clark College and later went to work for C&H Logging for eight years,
and for St. Regis for 12 years.
Mr. Brashers had been self-employed for the last two
years. He loved to do woodworking in his spare time. Mr. Brashers is survived
by his wife, Eileen of Glenwood; children Mike, Pat and Chris Reilly, all
of Glenwood, and Lisa Mathias of Salem, Ore; parents, W.H, and Dorothy Brashers
of Lyle; brothers Delbert of Dallesport, and Don and Jim, both of Lyle; and
an uncle, Claude Brashers of Lyle.
Services for Mr. Brashers were held Wednesday, Oct. 12,
in the chapel of Gardner Funeral Home, White Salmon. Pastor Jim Hazlett
officiated. Interment was in the Mt. Adams Cemetery of Glenwood.
Gardner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
