WORLD WAR I-II VETERAN DIES HBRE ON JUNE 5
Thomas E. Heyl, White Salmon, passed away on Saturday,
June 5, at Skyline hospital.
Thomas Heyl was born on March 14, 198 at Portage, Wisconsin.
He was a veteran of World War I and World War II, serving in the army in
War I and in the navy World War II. After the war, he was with the Corps
of Engineers with the Security Force at Bonneville Dam, retiring in
1966.
Tom Heyl came to White Salmon in 1935. He is survived
by his wife, Verna R. Heyl, White Salmon; a son, Frank G. of Lake Oswego,
Oregon; 1 niece and three grandchildren.
Private funeral services were held at Gardner's Funeral
home with Father William Shaw officiating.
Recitation of the Rosary was on Thursday evening at eight
o'clock at St. Joseph's Catholic church.
Interment will be in the White Salmon Cemetery. Thomas
Heyl was a member of the American Legion.
Pallbearers were: George Hunsaker, Ron Wilson, David
Hunsaker, Ricky Hunsaker, Harry Talbert and Wilbur Cart.
