TOM BURKELL CALLED
TROUT LAKE, Dec. 12--Tom Burkell passed away at his residence
December 8th at 3 p.m. He had been ill for some three months, although for
a long time he had been ailing. He just took a trip to southern California
in an effort to regain his health, but returned about three weeks ago, and
he was never able to rally after he returned home.
He was well known in Trout Lake, where he had lived for
several years being married to Miss Susie Elmer, a daughter of one of the
older families here. The end was very peaceful, for he just quietly went
to sleep, in Jesus. He leaves a wife and two children, a mother in the east
and a sister in California and other relatives.
The funeral service was held at the Trout Lake church,
Rev. E.A. Reed officiating. The beautiful Episcopal service was read and
the remains laid in the cemetery at Trout Lake. Many friends express their
sympathy and sorrow.
