OBITUARY

     Theodore Leland Mattson, son of John and Mary Mattson, was born near Centerville, Washington, March the 10, 1908, and passed away at The Dalles, Oregon, January 6, 1928, being at the time of his death 19 years, 9 months and 26 days of age.
     His life was spent on the farm of his parents up to a few weeks before his death, when he was taken to The Dalles for medical treatment.
     Besides his parents he leaves the following to mourn his early decease, seven brothers, Edward of Sundale, Wash., Chester of Astoria, Ore., Otis, Ivan, Richard, Maurice and Raymond, and one sister, Hazel, of Centerville, Wash. One half brother, Embert Mattson of Kelso, Wash., and one half sister, Mrs. Delia Blum, Centerville, and a host of other relatives and friends.
     Funeral services were held from the Christian church in Centerville, Tuesday evening, Jan. 10, at 11 a.m., interment following in the cemetery at Centerville, Elder S.C. Eshelman of the Christian church conducting the funeral service.

And if through patient toil we reach the land
Where tired feet, with scandals loosed, may rest,
Where we show clearly see and understand,

     CENTERVILLE YOUTH DEAD - Theodore Leland Mattisen of Centerville died at The Dalles hospital yesterday, at the age of 19 years. The body was sent to Goldendale this morning by Callaway's. Funeral services will be held at Centerville. Theodore was born at Centerville March 10, 1908. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Mattissn, and ten brothers and sisters, Mrs. Jack Blum of Astoria, Chester and Ed of Sundale, Wash., Enbert of Kelso, and Otis, Ivan, Richard, Maurice, Raymond and Hazel, Centerville.

"Centerville"

     The funeral of the late Teddy Mattson, who died at The Dalles hospital Friday, was held at the Christian church Tuesday.
     Mrs. Ida Johnson and Mrs. Hildah Karppa came up from Portland Sunday to attend the funeral of their nephew.
     Mr. and Mrs. Chester Mattson of Astoria, Oregon, and Embert Mattson, of Kelso, Wn., came Saturday to attend the funeral of their brother Ted.
