T. HOODENPYL PASSES IN HOOD RIVER HOSPITAL

     Funeral services will be held Friday at Gardners Funeral Home here for Thomas M. Hoodenpyl, who passed away at the Hood River Community Hospital on August 9.
     Born at Gaston, Oregon on September 1, 1907, Thomas Hoodenpyl had been a resident of Glenwood for 9 years. He is survived by his wife Laura, a son Steve, a daughter Judy. Also his mother, Mrs. Winnie Hoodenpyl of Gaston; 3 brothers, E.P. Hoodenpyl and William, both of Gaston and Herbert of Forest Grove, Oregon. One sister Mrs. O.K. Myers of Bend, Oregon.
     He was a member of the Mt. Adams Elks, BPOE 1868. Services will be conducted by the lodge Friday at 10 a.m. at Gardner's. Interment will be at Forest Grove View Cemetery at Forest Grove, at 2 p.m.
     He attended school at Scroggins Valley near Gaston.
     Before coming to Glenwood in 1949 he resided in Carlton, Oregon, where he was united in marriage to Laura Garrison on May 17, 1930 at Forest Grove, Oregon.

RITES FRIDAY FOR THOMAS HOODENPYL

     Glenwood (special) Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday August 12, at Gardners funeral home in White Salmon for Thomas M. Hoodenpyl, 47, resident of Glenwood since 1946. Mt. Adams Elks Lodge 1868 will officiate.
     Pall bearers will be Ollie Kreps, Homer Babcock, Wilbur Yaekel, George Lyle, Merle Akerill and Gene Karl.
     Burial will be at Forest View cemetery, Forest Grove, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Morrison of Gaston's Congregational church in charge.
     Mr. Hoodenpyl was born September 1, 1907 at Gaston, Oregon where he attended Scroggins Valley school. On May 17, 1930, he was married to Laura Garrison at Forest Grove. He died in Hood River hospital, Tuesday, August 9, of leukemia.
     Survivors include his wife, Laura; son Steve; and daughter, Judy, all of Glenwood; his mother, Mrs. Winnie Hoodenpyl of Gaston; brothers, E.P. and William Hoodenpyl, also of Gaston, and Herbert of Forest Grove; and sister Mrs. O.K. Myers of Bend, Oregon.

SERVICES FOR T.M. HOODENPYL FRIDAY

     Thomas M. Hoodenpyl, resident of Glenwood for the past nine years, passed away at the Hood River Community Hospital Tuesday, August 9.
     Mr. Hoodenpyl was born September 1, 1907 at Gaston, Oregon and is survived by his, wife, Laura; a son, Steve, and a daughter, Judy; all of Glenwood; his mother, Mrs. Winnie Hoodenpyl of Gaston; three brothers, E. P., and William of Gaston, and Herbert of Forest Grove.
     Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Gardner Funeral Hone in White Salmon, conducted by the Mt. Adams Elk Lodge-BPOE No. 18-68. Committal services will be held at Forest View Cemetery in Forest Grove, Oregon at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon.
