TAMMY VOIGT
Tammy Marie Voigt, a Mid-Columbia native, died April
9, 1995, at Emanuel Hospital in Portland, at the age of 37.
Mrs. Voigt was born Jan. 10, 1958, in The Dalles,
Ore., to Ellen (Dartt) and Phil Turner. She was raised in The Dalles and
graduated from The Dalles High School. She attended Chemeketa College in
Salem, Ore. for two years. She moved to Kansas for a time and then returned
to The Dalles, where she ran Gregg's Sleep Shop. She moved to the White Salmon
area about seven years ago.
Mrs. Voigt married Dennis Voigt in 1990. She worked at
the BZ Corner Store and the Coffee Spot in Hood River. She enjoyed NASCAR
racing, snowmobiling, fishing and gardening.
Mrs. Voigt is survived is survived by her husband, Dennis,
White Salmon; parents Phill and Ellen Turner, Seaside, Ore.; grandparents
Alice Darrt and Myrtle Turner both of The Dalles; brothers Terry Turner,
The Dalles, and Greg Turner, Hermiston, Ore.; sister Marsha Scott, Olathe,
Kan.; nieces Alena, Sarah and Malinda Turner, Alena and Ness Voigt, and Jennifer
Scott; nephews Shawn Turner, Chris Scott, and Kevin and Billy Gross.
Services for Mrs. Voigt will be held Friday, April 14,
1995, at 1 p.m. at Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon, with Rev. Dave Garrison
officiating. Interment will be in Trout Lake Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
Arrangements were handled by Gardner Funeral Home.
