HANSEN
Mr. Thorvald P. (Tim) Hansen, 91, of Goldendale, passed
away on Tue. Aug. 20 in Goldendale.
He was born on May 15, 1900 in Eiby, Denmark to Christian
and Marie Hansen.
Mr. Hansen came to Douglas County, Washington in 1920
with his sister. He farmed in Douglas County. He received his U.S. citizenship
in 1932 and moved to the Goldendale area and in 1938.
He and Audrey Smith were married in 1939.
He retired from the Highway Department in 1965 and enjoyed
hunting, fishing, traveling and gardening.
He is survived by his wife Audrey of Goldendale; two
daughters, Ilene Turkovich of Olympia, and Jan Bommersbach, of Goldendale;
one sister Agnes Bailey of Vancouver; seven grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by one son Bill Henson; a daughter
of Jean Shupe; one sister Mary Ivorson and one brother Bob Hansen.
Funeral services were held on Fri. Aug. 23 at 2 p.m.
in the chapel of Knosher-Erdman Funeral Home with Eldon Wiidanen officiating.
Interment was in the Centerville Cemetery. Pallbearers were grand sons, Mike
Shupe, Rick and Brad Hansen, Tim and Robert White.
