CENTERVILLE PIONEER DIES AT AGE OF 88
Theodore Jackel, 88, resident of the Centerville community
for the past 63 years, died early Tuesday morning at the home of his son,
Connie Jackel.
Mr. Jackel was one of the pioneer ranchers of the Centerville
section. He was also active in the Centerville militia company of the 1880's.
Funeral rites will be held from the Phillips Funeral
Home Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.. Interment will be in the Grange cemetery
at Centerville. Opal Wiidanen, pastor of the Centerville Church of Christ,
will conduct the services.
Mr. Jackel was born at Two Rivers, Wis., in 1852. He
is survived by two sons, August and Connie Jackel, both of Centerville, and
two daughters, Mrs. George Garner of Centerville and Mrs. M.E. Potter, of
Portland.
