TED WILLIAM SAUTER
Klickitat County native Ted William Sauter died at home
Friday May 8, of cancer. He was 59.
Mr. Sauter was born Nov, 22, 1927 to Erwin and Nellie
(Evans) Sauter in Lyle, where he was also raised. During World War II, he
served in the US Navy. In 1952 he married Georgia Borgeson. He was a commercial
fisherman, heavy equipment operator and had worked for the Klickitat County
Road Department for 19 years. He was a member of Columbia Grange and a past
school board member.
Mr. Sauter is survived by his widow, Georgia of Lyle,
daughter Carol Kroeskop, Lyle; sons, Ted Jr., John, David and Dan,all of
Lyle. brothers Erwin Jr. and Richard, both of Lyle; sisters, Nellie Sorensen
of Lyle and Mary Ramm of Colton, Ore.; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services for Mr. Sauter were held Tuesday,
May 12, at Lyle Balch Cemetery, with the Rev. John N. O'Dea officiating.
Interment followed. Arrangements were made by Gardner Funeral Home of White
Salmon.

Society.
