"Glenwood"

     The funeral of Vinzens Borde was held Tuesday afternoon, June 25, at the home and in charge of the Holman Undertakers of Portland. Rev. George Good of Trout Lake, conducted the service at the house and the Grange burial services was read at the cemetery. Mr. Borde was born in Lezig, Germany, and died at Portland, Oregon, June 23rd, 1929, at the age of 71 years. He came to this country when a small boy, living at Glenwood the greater part of his life. He was married to Clara Kuhnhausen, of Glenwood. Six children were born to this union, Mrs. Anna Hanson, Mrs. Alma Staack and Ernest Borde, of Glenwood; Mrs. Maleta Camp, Southern Oregon, and Mrs. Molly Blakenship, of Lewis county, Wash. One son passed away at the age of 18 months. Mrs. Borde survives her husband. The community extends to the bereaved family their heartfelt sympathy.

     On Sunday, June 23rd, Mr. Vincent Borde passed away in a Portland hospital after several weeks illness. His funeral was held here Tuesday. His family have the sympathy of the entire neighborhood.

     Vincenes Borde, a pioneer resident of western Klickitat, died at a Portland hospital Sunday last. The remains were forwarded to Glenwood, where funeral services were held on Tuesday. A more extended obituary will follow next week.
