VALORE EMILY BURLES
Valore Emily Burles of Lyle, died Friday in Hood River
at the age of 74.
Mrs. Burles was born in Nov. 26, 1906, at Stafford, Ariz.,
to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Claridge. She came to Lyle 28 years ago and was a
musician and music teacher until her retirement. She was a member of the
L.D.S. Church.
She is survived by her husband, Mozart C. Burles of Lyle:
a son, Terry Claridge Parker of Portland; two daughters, Patricia Caldwell
of Portland and Pamela Cartier of Tempe, Arizona; two brothers, Ellis Claridge
of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Cedric Claridge of Kent; two sisters, Melba Bryce
of Pima, Ariz., and Melverda Lamoreaux of White Salmon; 11 grandchildren
and six great-grand grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Burles were held Tuesday at
the L.D.S. Church in White Salmon, with Bishop Thomas Kennedy officiating.
Interment was in the Chris Zada Cemetery in Underwood.
Contributions in memory of Mrs. Burles may be made to
Skyline Hospital.
