MRS. THOMAS DIES IN CALIFORNIA; FUNERAL HERE

     Funeral services for Mrs. Melvin Leroy (Virginia F.) Thomas, former resident of White Salmon, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 20 at Gardner's Chapel. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows cemetery.
     Mrs. Thomas left White Salmon three years ago to make her home with her son Lloyd Thomas of San Carlos, Calif. She died Monday, August 13 at a San Mateo hospital.
     She is survived by another son, Ronald Thomas of Redwood City, California; two daughters Mrs. Donna Johnson of San Carlos and Mrs. Shirley Ann Estey of Los Gatos, Calif.; sister, Mrs. Greta Canlo; brother, Bill Johnson; mother Jessie Johnston, all living in Washington; and ten grandchildren.
     Mrs. Thomas is a member of the VFW Auxiliary of Bingen. Her husband died on Dec. 18, 1957.

FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN CALIFORNIA

     Virginia F. Thomas, former resident of White Salmon, passed away at San Mateo Community Hospital in California on August 13th. Her husband, Melvin LeeRoy Thomas died Dec. 18, 1957 in White Salmon. She has been living with a son in San Carlos, California, the past three years.
     She leaves two sons: Lloyd Thomas of San Carlos, Calif. and Ronald Thomas of the Redwood City, California; two daughters; Mrs. Donna Johnson of San Carlos, Calif.; and Mrs. Shirley Ann Estey of Los Gatos; her mother: Mrs. Jessie Johnson; one sister Mrs. Creta Oanio of Selah, Washington; one brother: Bill Johnson of Kirkland, Wn. and ten grandchildren.
     She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary of Bingen, Wash. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 20 at 11 a.m. at Gardner's Chapel with Rev. Mr. Alfred Palmer officiating. Interment will be in the White Salmon IOOF cemetery.
