     LAUREL, Aug. 11 -- The death of Victor Holmberg, age 9, by drowning in the Mill pond was a shock to the entire community. He was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Holmberg, who have resided here the past three years. Victor was well liked and known by his smile. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Stillman, interment being in the Mt. Adams cemetery. Sympathies are extended to the bereaved family.
