VICTOR JOHNSON
Victor Johnson, a resident of Lyle, died at the Veterans
Hospital in Vancouver on June 30.
He was born on March 22, 1892 in Larimore, North Dakota.
He is survived by his wife Alice M. Johnson of Lyle, one son, Harlan Kent
Johnson of The Dalles; one daughter, Mrs. Lee Schuster of Sacremento, California;
two brothers, John Johnson of Beaverton, Oregon; Albert Johnson of Lyle;
three sisters; Anna Lindley of Garden Home, Oregon; Cora Service of Lyle,
and Ellen Zulfer of Portland; a half-sister, Maggie Roseberg of Larimore,
No. Dakota and five grandchildren.
He was a veteran of World War I.
Services will be held Friday, July 3, at Gardners Chapel
at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Lyle with the Rev. Roger Clevenger officiating.

DEATH SUMMONS VICTOR JOHNSON
Funeral services for Victor Johnson, 79, Lyle, were held
at 2 p.m. Friday, July 3, at Gardner's Funeral Chapel, White Salmon. The
Rev. Roger L. Clevenger of Bethel Congregational Church officiated. Burial
was in Balch cemetery, Lyle.
Casket bearers were Frank Tuthill, Phillip Tuthill, Blair
Shippey, George McCleod, Ernie Struck and Lester Jewell.
Mr. Johnson was born March 22, 1892 in Larimore, North
Dakota. He died Tuesday, June 30, 1964 at Barnes Veterans Hospital, Vancouver
where he has been a patient since last Feb. 28.
He is survived by his widow, Alice M. Johnson, Lyle,
son, Harlan Kent Johnson, The Dalles, Ore.; daughter, Mrs. Leo Schuster,
Sacremento, Calif.
Also five brothers, John of Beaverton, Oregon and Albert
of Lyle; three sisters -- Anna Lindley, Garden Home, Ore., Cora Service,
Lyle; Ellen Zulfer, Portland; a half sister, Maggie Rostberg, Larimore, North
Dakota; and five grandchildren.
