VIC MASON
Virgil I. (Vic) Mason was born at Yakima October 6, 1901
to Samuel and Maud Mason. He died at the Klickitat Valley Hospital November
24, 1973.
He attended grade and high school in Yakima. For several
years he worked as lineman for Bud Reader of Roosevelt who owned the telephone
system there. Later he went to work for Long-Bell Lumber Co. at Ryderwood,
Wa. as tree topper and lineman. From there he went to work for Weyerhauser
Lumber Co. as electrical foreman where he remained for 25 years. He was an
electrical inspector for the State of Washington for three years.
Mr. Mason came to work for the Klickitat County PUD in
April of 1949 and retired in 1966.
On November 10, 1954 he was married to Mildred Roe who
survives him. He is also survived by one brother, Vern of Wallowa, Or.
Services were conducted Tuesday, November 27 at Holy
Trinity Catholic Church with Fr. John Marasciulo officiating.
Pallbearers were Frank Wilke, Emmett Clause, Ira Brokaw,
William Anderson, Louis Benson and Howard Robinson. Interment was in Holy
Trinity Cemetery. Knosher Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
