LYLE WOMAN DEAD
(Daily of January 21)

Mrs. Violet Jarvis Bertschi of Lyle, Wash., died at the Mid-Columbia hospital here Sunday at the age of 19 years. Funeral services will be announced later from Callaway's.

The many friends of Mrs. Ray Bertschi were shocked to learn of her death Sunday evening, January 19. Everyone that knew her loved and admired her. Her many friends extend their deepest and sincere sympathy to her husband, Ray Bertschi, also her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Jarvis, and her brothers.

"Local Happenings"

Funeral services were held at Lyle last Sunday for Mrs. Violet Jarvis Bertschi, who died at The Dalles January 19. Mrs. Bertschi was born at Lyle March 18, 1910. She had been ill about three weeks. Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Jarvis of Yakima; a widower, Ray Bertschi of Lyle, and five brothers, Grant, Frank, Allen, Ed, and Willis, all of Rowena. Interment was in the Lyle cemetery.
