ANDERSON
Centerville native Virgil L. (Pete) Anderson died Dec.
6 in Portland, Ore. He was 63.
Born Oct. 25, 1925 near Centerville to Peter and Helen
Anderson, Virgil farmed most of his life in the Centerville area.
He and Mary A. Goodrich were united in marriage Aug.
28, 1969. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member
of the American Legion. Mr. Anderson enjoyed outdoor activities, especially
hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Mary of Centerville; his
mother, Helen Anderson of Goldendale; four children, Dennis and Cathy Goodrich
of Anchorage, Alaska, Daniel Goodrich of Bellingham, and Judy Bray of Goldendale;
a sister, Mrs. Charles (Leona) Conlee of Vancouver; two granddaughters, four
grandsons and three great-grandsons.
Graveside services and interment were Dec. 10 at Centerville
Cemetery, with Pastor Ray Hilman officiating. Military honors were under
the auspices of Louis Leidl Post #116. Knosher-Erdman was in charge of
arrangements.
Active pallbearers were Clifford Wilson, Clifford Culver,
Frank Grillo, Marc McCabe and Bill Olson. Honorary pallbearers included Jerry
Miller, Arthur Lawson, Matt Jacobson, Don Millberger and Jim Zevely.
