VIVIAN COCHRAN
Vivian M. Cochran, a Klickitat County native, died at
Skyline Hospital in White Salmon on Feb. 2, 2000, at the age of 75.
Mrs. Cochran was born Dec. 10, 1924, in Goldendale, to
John L. and Myrtle L. (Clarence) Dickerson. She grew up in Lyle and married
Ray Cochran in Stevenson on Dec. 23,1940.
The couple started Ray's Auto Parts in Bingen in 1953
and Stevenson Auto Parks and Columbia Hardware in Stevenson. Mr. Cochran
died in 1988 and Mrs. Cochran continued to work until 1990.
She attended the Hood River Christian Missionary Alliance
church. She loved to bowl and was in several different leagues. She also
loved to garden and was very involved with her family, which was her main
priority.
Mrs. Cochran is survived by her sons John W. Cochran,
Hood River, Ore., and Jim Cochran, Hillsboro, Ore.; daughter Judy L. Burns,
White Salmon; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Cochran were held at 1 p.m. on Monday.
Feb. 7, 2000, at Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon. Vault Interment was
at the White Salmon Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Heart Association in care
of Gardner Funeral Home of White Salmon, who was in charge of arrangements.
