RITES HELD FOR VIOLA M. WRIGHT JANUARY 9TH
Viola M. Wright, resident of White Salmon for the past
twenty years, passed away at her home on January 6th. She was born at St.
Clair County, Missouri on February 28th, 1884 to Morney and William Cooper.
Her husband, William Wright died November 27th, 1956.
Surviving are three daughters: Mabel Conboy of Pendleton,
Oregon; Ellen Fair of Camas, Washington and Della Eaton of Rufus, Oregon.
Three sons: James Wright of White Salmon; Donald Wright
of Roseburg, Oregon and Clarence Wright of Vancouver, Washington. Nine
grand-children and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Also a half sister: Mola
Smith of Ardmore, Oklahoma.
Funeral services were held January 9th, 11 a.m. at Gardner's
Funeral Home in White Salmon with Rev. Eugene Haynes of the Congregational
church officiating. Interment was in the White Salmon Cemetery.
Casket bearers were: Bill Conboy, Leslie Conboy, Wayne
Eaton, Neil Leaton, Dennis Talbert, David Cole.
