     Violet Rose Kuhnhausen died on Nov. 21, 2004, at her home in Glenwood. She was 73.
     A memorial service is planned for early December.

VIOLET KUHNHAUSEN

     Violet Rose Kuhnhausen died on Nov. 21, 2004, at her home in Glenwood. She was 73 years old.
     She was born in Brownsville, Ore., on March 21, 1931, to Earl T. and Rosie Ruth (Schulze) Fales.
     Her family moved often during her childhood. On Feb. 26, 1949, she married Herman Kuhnhausen in Florence, Ore. The couple made their home in Glenwood and then moved to Northwestern Lake, where they lived for 10 years. In 1988, they moved back to Glenwood. Mr. Kuhnhausen died in 1987.
     Mrs. Kuhnhausen loved to do jigsaw puzzles. A nature lover, she enjoyed taking walks and observing animals and flowers and all the beauty around her. She was a member of the Glenwood Grange #94 in which she held offices for many years. She was also a member of the Glenwood Pioneers.
     Survivors include her sons Herman, Vancouver, Roger and Earl, Glenwood, and Donald, The Dalles; brothers Robert Fales, Alaska, Elton Fales, LaPine, Ore., and Philip Fales, Alaska; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
     A memorial graveside service will be held at Mt. Adams Cemetery in Glenwood on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at 1 p.m.
     Gardner Funeral Home's Columbia River Crematory handled cremation arrangements.
