VERNA RANDALL
Verna Randall, a White Salmon resident since 1923, died
Dec. 4, 2000, at the age of 92.
Mrs. Randall was born Verna Rebecca Stevens on Nov. 24,
1908, in Lone Rock, Ore., to Charles and Armadale Stevens.
A few years after her father died, she moved with her
mother and brother to White Salmon in 1923. She graduated from Columbia Union
High School in 1927. That same year, she joined the Rebekah Lodge, maintaining
a lifelong membership.
In 1928, she and Clarence Randall were married. For many
years, Mrs. Randall was active in the community. While her children were
in school, she was in PTA and a room mother. She enoyed her Lodge and card
clubs. Mrs. Randall and her husband were also active in Skyliners and Good
Sam Camping Club.
Mrs. Randall is survived by her two children Leona and
Jim; and seven grandchildren. many great-grandchildren, and great,
great-grandchildren. She will be missed.
She was preceded in death by brothers George and Frank,
step-father Monroe Moore, and husband Clarence, who died in 1995.
A graveside service for Mrs. Randall was held Saturday.
Dec. 9, at 1 p.m. at White Salmon Cemetery, with Father Tom Dahlquist
officiating.
Arrangements were handled by Gardner Funeral Home of
White Salmon.
